When is the 2023 GR Corolla’s release date?
I want to get a new hatchback to replace my Honda Fit and the pictures of the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla look so cool. When will it be out?
Trading up your Honda Fit for the brand new 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is a great move. The 2023 GR Corolla release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the base Core Grade model should arrive in late 2022 with the Circuit Edition coming in early 2023.
That said, rumors abound of a released internal memo listing October 2023 as the month those sweet, sweet GR Corollas will be hitting dealerships. Whether that’s true or not, getting your hands on one might not happen for an unfortunate while—Toyota’s annual production for the GR Corolla will be extremely limited in its initial year. In fact, only 6,500 models are currently planned for release in the US.

I called my local dealer who is the largest in a very large city, and they had zero information on timelines, options, pricing, etc. They basically said "Once the Toyota site has information up, we will have information and can order one if you'd like". It seems a bit late in the year for a '23 model to not have any information, but these are strange times for the auto industry.

The Standard for Safety
Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection
The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) can help mitigate or avoid impact with a vehicle or pedestrian in certain situations. Using a camera and radar, PCS w/PD provides both audio and visual alerts, and if you don’t react, the system is designed to brake automatically.
Proactive Driving Assist
When system operating conditions are met, using the vehicle’s camera and radar, Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) provides gentle braking into curves or gentle braking and/or steering to help support driving tasks such as distance control between your vehicle and a preceding vehicle, pedestrian, or bicyclist.
Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Intended for highway use, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) lets you drive at a preset speed. The system uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control, helping maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.
Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist
When detecting white or yellow lane markings, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual warning if it detects an inadvertent lane departure. The system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering if the driver does not take corrective action.
Lane Tracing Assist
When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are detectable, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and/or preceding vehicles to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.
Road Sign Assist
Using an intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display them on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Automatic High Beams
The Automatic High Beams (AHB) are designed to help you see more clearly at night at speeds above 25 mph. The AHB system is designed to detect the headlights and taillights of other vehicles, then automatically toggle between high and low beams.
