Change password with remote desktop

Step 1: In the window start menu search for remote desktop connection and open it.

Step 2: Type the computer name as passreset1.uwb.edu and click Connect.

Step 3: It will ask you for your credentials, select Use another account. Important Note: Do NOT check Remember my credentials.

Step 4: Enter your user name followed by @uw.edu and your password and then click Ok.

Step 5: A warning may pop up asking if you still want to connect. Go ahead and click Yes.

Step 6: You will then be prompted that you need to change your password before logging in.

Step 7: Enter your old password and your new password twice. Note: Every password must contain one upper and lower case letter, and either a special character or number. Passwords must be longer than 8 characters.

Step 8: Once you have changed your password, log off of passreset1 and the remote desktop session will close automatically.
