KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Erika LaBrie is the woman who famously "married" the Eiffel Tower in a commitment ceremony in 2007.
  • She cites the shape and geometry of the chiselled red barrier as the reason she is physically attracted to the fence.
  • Erika Eiffel was also seen talking to fence as she called it "sweet".

Erika LaBrie, an American woman who famously has romantic feelings for inanimate objects, gave a whole new meaning to “sitting on the fence”—the popular expression for indecision—when she revealed she is attracted to a fence.

LaBrie, 50, who is a competitive archer and a crusader of object sexuality, was recently seen in a now-viral video straddling a red fence as she lets the viewers in on the love she experiences for the chiselled structure.

“I did not expect to find a fence like this here at all,” the former pilot can be heard saying. “He (fence) is perfect, I mean this is the shape that I like so much. These angles? Fabulous,” she goes on.

The viral TikTok clip is a snippet from a TLC documentary about objectophilia and features her explaining what draws her to the fence as she cops a feel.

“Fences are such dangerous objects for me because they are so perfect in their geometry,” says LaBrie. “I’m definitely physically attracted to this fence and I would like to get to know this fence better,” she adds.

Their connection is not merely physical as the woman even appears to talk to the fence, going as far as to call it “sweet”.

Erika LaBrie caught global attention in 2007 after she “married” the Eiffel Tower in what has been described as a commitment ceremony that took place in Paris, France.

Subsequently, the woman changed her surname to “Eiffel” and likes to go by her new name.

Over the course of the past month, many more accounts of people romantically or sexually attracted to inanimate objects have come to light. Sarah Rodo, from Germany, previously opened up about her relationship with a plane, a model Boeing 737 that she affectionately calls Dicki.

An observation documentary about women who fall in love with large objects rather than people. They maintain to have intimate relationships with them, including comunicating with them through telepathy. The film suggests gently that this might be a psychological defence as the protagonists have suffered at the hands of people.

Where the car one was kind of a laughy jokey thing about these two weirdos who fuck cars, this one is more understanding and reflective, and both women talk about their trauma (or one woman's mom does), and there's something in that trauma that explains everything else we see for the 40 minutes that surrounds that. There are some really difficult moments, moments that were really embarrassing to me, where I was embarrassed for these people, but most of the…

I thought I might've imagined this, but no, it does exist, and I rewatched the entire thing. Maybe one of the strangest things I've ever seen, but also fascinating. At 17, Marco Pirroni played guitar for Siouxsie Sioux at the 100 Club while [a]Sid Vicious[/a] bashed the shit out of the drums. At 20 he co-wrote ‘Kings Of The Wild Frontier’ with [a]Adam Ant[/a], one of the most gleefully camp records ever made. Since then? A topsy-turvy credit list that peaks with [a]Sinéad O’Connor[/a]’s debut and troughs miserably with this, a tackle-out pub singalong gone wrong. O’Connor appears on ‘Jackie, Is It My Birthday?’, stripped of all the mettle that defined her early work. Opener ‘Cat Green Eyes’ is an embarrassing erection aiming to penetrate womankind itself, and the rest is too dull to warrant a mention.
