Easy reading and much more compact than the original book. Well worth the money and the read will recommend. I also like the short example stories in red.

Top critical review Overpromised and underdelivered
If I was 17 and wanted to write an unsupported text on how to manipulate people, I'd probably create this. For all its talk of miraculously being supported by historical evidence the citations are sparse and the methodology confusing if not non-existent - it is difficult to understand how the author reaches the conclusions they do right from the get-go. For reference, on Law 1, if you spend too much time convincing people that your great ideas are in fact theirs eventually, they'll just think you're a dumbass. Referencing this book will not absolve you of this impression. Probably a huge hit with the people that think "The Art of War" is a revelation too.

by sapee_918 Jun, 2017 Concise means:
I used to have the big version of this one. Every chapter/law had a Observation and a Trangression. Each was a six page story from history (or sometimes fiction) of somebody who followed and somebody who went against the rule. That's what made this book great. Same as all of Robert Greene's stuff. I thought I was getting a bargain. It's worth what I paid, but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known. Concise: I now hate this word.
