Cushion too cool for school review

The downsides of buying and owning so many beauty products is that I sometimes forget I even bought them until that one fine day when the mood for spring cleaning kicks in. I’d actually bought this sometime in February this year and somehow never got down to reviewing it proper, until now. Heh.

Using Shade 21 Pola on the face with shade 6 Pink Step of Laneige Two-tone Lip Bar

I say…

The Packaging: It’s a very novel way of packing all your facial makeup essentials in one – a compact case with a BB cushion, concealer, pore balm and lip & cheek tint. The case measures about 6.7cm x 6.7cm x 2.5cm tall (which is about the same size as the other BB cushions). The case opens up to reveal the BB cushion with an inbuilt mirror, while the bottom swivels out to reveal the Pore balm, Concealer and Lip & Tint tint.

The Texture:

  • The BB cushion: It’s lightweight, hydrating, moisturising and spreads easily into a glowy dewy finish. The coverage is medium, and wears out over time to become slightly, slightly patchy.
  • The Concealer: It picks up from the tray with a creamy consistency, and it blends out into a rather matte finish with a slight glow. It’s slightly on the thicker side, and can have a slight tendency to sink into the fine lines. The coverage is decent though – dark eye circles are mostly covered.
  • The Pore Balm: Extremely lightweight with a velvety finish. It smoothens the skin’s texture and blurs out the appearance of fine lines and pores.
  • The Lip & Cheek Tint: On the cheeks, this is a beautiful rosy natural pink with a mostly matte finish. On the lips – I don’t recommend it. It has a powdery light pale-pink finish on the lips that makes me look somewhat sickly. I say stick with the lipsticks instead.

The Verdict: A super convenient compact case that allows you to bring almost everything you need for painting the face (‘cept the lips), and is super useful. It’s not strong on the oil control, and coverage is medium. It’s more suited for ladies with slightly drier skin types or when you’re in a country with a drier climate, as this can get somewhat “wet” – I felt my glasses sliding down the nose more, and there was very slight streaking where the glasses rested on the nose. Overall, it’s a rather alright product that’s pretty fun and worth a try 😀

It stays on for 48 hours without melting down, preserving the radiance. Artclass's powerful fixing polymer helps smooth and radiant skin last for 48 hours.

  • With three kinds of delicate cover powders that present a thin but strong coverage, this full-coverage cushion does not need a concealer for pores, blemishes, and redness.
  • It provides moisturizing and perfect coverage for only the areas you want to cover up. It has undergone clinical trials to test for makeup durability.
  • It comes with a puff, shaped like a water drop, which can give precise coverage. Shaped like a water drop with sharp edges, it provides perfect coverage for the eyes, nose, etc., and the tapping motion completes radiant skin with the puff's dense cell structure.

The first impression of the package was great with a simple black logo design on the product. Especially, the size of the product was small enough to carry in the pouch so that it can be used for retouching during the daytime.

Just like the advertisement, it seems like it contains high moisture inside. Pressing with my one finger, a pretty large amount of product came out.

Applying for the first time, (Due to oily skin and hormone, my skin has a lot of acne scars.) I only used this cushion without any concealer or color corrector right after sun base.

I was putting the make-up for 13hours today(8/8/2017).

And here are my personal feedbacks.

What I liked: 1. skin looks fit and healthy due to the gloominess. 2. Light fit when I applied the cushion for a whole day. 3. Pores did not stand. 4. Not dirty wearing off 5. Bright tone and color.

What I did not like: 1. No big difference between different colors(Ivory/Beige) -Ivory: Pink base / Beige: Yellow base 2. The base make-up cakes a lot in the evening time. 3. Weak for the oil. 4. Easily get erased. (It lasts only for three or four hours.) 5. Weak coverage.

Personal Scoring: (ouf of ★★★★★)

1. Cost effectiveness ★★ (2/5) 2. Long lasting ★(1/5) 3. Coverage ★(1/5) 4. Wearing-off (Is it neat even after the make-up get erased? ) ★★★★(4/5) 5. Color ★★★(3/5) 6. Design ★★★★★(5/5) 7. Moisturizing ★★★★★(5/5) 8. Cooling ★★★★(4/5) 9. Repurchase intention ★★★(3/5)

Afterall, I think it will be fit better for dry skin since this product is weak for oil production. I will more frequently use this product during the winter season, I believe. However, the cooling was great as on the advertisement.
