Music notation has notation value, ritmic value and written with a music stave. The system consists of four main processes: preprocessing (grayscale and thresholding), notation line segmentation, notation character segmentation, and template matching. Template matching is used to recognize the music notation that obtained after segmentation. The recognition process obtained by comparing the image with the template image that has been inputted before to the database. This system has 100% success rate on segmentation of the character and success rate 38,4843% on the character recognition with template matching. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan RME berbantuan media manipulative rainbow block beserta langkah-langkahnya pada pembelajaran matematika materi pecahan di sekolah dasar. Preparing soft skills for students has been being a matter of great concern to both society and the education industry. Soft skills are an essential factor for the success and happiness of each individual. Many decades ago, the weakness of soft skills of Vietnamese students have been warned by educational organizations, businesses and domestic and foreign experts. Although knowledge that is considered as a necessary condition during the learning process; it is still not a sufficient condition for students who want to get a desired job. Nowadays, soft skills training activities are quite popular in almost universities and it is one of requirements for student’s graduation. However, these training activities are different in each university. In this study, from the practical experience in training soft skills of other universities, the authors recommend some basic solutions for integrating soft skills into main subjects in the specialized knowledge teaching process. La presente comunicación muestra la utilización del dolado de papel como recurso didáctico para la enseñanza de la geometría en los primeros años de educación secundaria. Es un trabajo teórico práctico donde el doblado de papel se toma como una herramienta de aprendizaje, en este caso como la geometría. Se presentan sus beneficios y cualidades para la enseñanza, las habilidades que desarrollan su utilización y los contenidos que se pueden trabajar con él. Some of the values are confidence, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. As is delineated in the Curriculum, the characters should be built through “indirect teaching”; based on that guidelines, the researcher then suggests the use of YouTube video clips about Indonesia, which has a two-fold function: to attract students’ interest, and to inculcate noble characters in the students.
