Ever wondered how important it is to remove makeup completely? I am a kind f person who wants my face to be squeaky clean when I come back from office. I prefer using olive/baby oil to remove makeup but I finally thought of trying a makeup remover and NYX Eye & Lip Makeup Remover is the first one I tried. I comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black screw cap. The packaging is quite easy to use and is not very bulky. The cap shuts properly so there is no spillage at all. I have carried it along when I am traveling and have never had any issues with the packaging. I wear makeup almost everyday and as I mentioned earlier, I have always relied on oils to cleanse my face, eyes and lips. NYX Eye & Lip Makeup Remover being the first makeup remover I was about to try, I was not sure of what to expect and what not but one thing I knew I could not compromise on was how gentle it is going to be on my skin. This oil-water emulsion needs to be shaken well before applying on the skin. I just take a few drops of it on the cotton pad and wipe my makeup off. Waterproof products like eyeliner and mascara need multiple swipes however it effectively removes all traces of non-waterproof makeup like eyeshadow , gloss, lipsticks, BB/CC creams etc in a single go. You can see the swatch picture below to get an idea of how it works. I have tried keeping it on for some time on my eyes so as to check if it melts the makeup any better that way but the performance is pretty much the same. It doesn’t irritate the skin and hence can be used for all skin types. What I like the most about this product is that it doesn’t sting the eyes, nor does it makes the vision blur. It is mild yet efficient, just like it is expected to be. I have also used it to remove my foundation and concealer and it does a good job at removing them too. It does leave a thin film of oil behind but nothing that is too bothering. Its actually good because eyes and lips are the most gentle areas of the face and by this the skin does not feel dehydrated or dry. It should be a great option for dry skin girls but mine being acne prone and sensitive skin, I usually follow up with a face wash to prevent the pores on face from getting clogged. It has a nice fruity fragrance and the quantity is good enough so I think it is a great remover when you are on a budget. Buy it at amazon. I got mine from bluescandal but now they have stopped shipping to India NYX Eye & Lip Makeup Remover is great value for money. It is not harsh on the skin and is quite efficient at removing waterproof/non-waterproof makeup. It doesn’t sting the eyes and keeps the skin hydrated. It does leave a slimy layer behind but the greasiness dissipates in just a few minutes. You get a nice amount of product in there at just $8. What else would anybody want ?
