Top champions work well with hail of blades năm 2024

Subjugate can be used to combine R + Ignite which can lead to unexpected kills. I often use this combo if I can not close the distance against an enemy champion with very low health. If ignite is not enough to kill an enemy. And you need a tiny bit more dmg, then this combo will work out perfectly. Just remember to stand in range until you are certain ignite can do the rest to finish them off.

Basic attacking an enemy champion grants 110% bonus attack speed as well as make your bonus attack speed ignore the attack speed cap (2.5) for your next 3 basic attacks on-attack. Attack resets do not consume a stack of Hail of Blades, but do benefit from the bonus attack speed.

The triggering attack benefits from Hail of Blades and will always consume a stack.

Hail of Blades lasts 3 seconds, and consuming a stack against enemy champions refreshes the duration to 3 seconds. The buff stops refreshing if the basic attack targeting a champion is cancelled.

Basic attacking an enemy champion grants 110% bonus Attack Speed for your next 3 basic attacks. While active, Hails of Blade removes the attack speed cap.

Hail of Blades lasts 3 seconds, and each basic attack refreshes the duration to 2 seconds.

Cooldown: 8 seconds

Patch History[]

Patch 10.4

Attempting to broaden Hail of Blades' use cases since it's currently taken specifically by junglers who can chain their CC abilities with their basic attacks.

MAXIMUM TIME BETWEEN ATTACKS : [2] ⇒ 3 seconds

COOLDOWN : [4 seconds out of combat] ⇒ 8 seconds

Patch 9.1 Attack speed bonus higher early; lower late. Attack resets no longer consume a stack.

Part of the reason Hail of Blades historically struggled to find a niche is that if you were a champion who cares about attack speed, you usually wanted to go Precision instead. Rune stats solved this tension but left a second unaddressed: Champions who want to open fights with quick bursts of attacks have reset abilities that overlap with one of Hail's empowered attacks. We're changing Hail of Blades to synergize—rather than compete—with attack resets.

ATTACK SPEED BONUS : [75-125% (levels 1-18)] ⇒ 110% at all levels

HAILSTORM Attacks that benefit from an attack reset (ex. Jax's Empower) no longer consume a Hail of Blades stack

v8.13 Out of combat cooldown decreased. Maximum time between attacks increased.

Hail of Blades isn't a top keystone for any champion right now. We're lowering its cooldown to up its potency on champions who prefer staggered, short trades.

OUT OF COMBAT COOLDOWN : [5] ⇒ 4 seconds

MAXIMUM TIME BETWEEN ATTACKS : [1.5] ⇒ 2 seconds

v8.12

We're still watching players experiment with Hail of Blades on different champs and builds. Its list of users is turning out to be narrower than expected, but its underwhelming power level isn't doing much to encourage players to experiment. We're giving it a booster shot for now and will evaluate potential mechanical shifts based on the results.

BONUS ATTACK SPEED : [50-100%] ⇒ 75-125%

v8.11

One of the goals of runes is to give champions options about what tree they go into based on how they want to play. Domination is a tree about burst, which should make it appealing to some of the burstier marksmen, but there is no real keystone for them. Hail of Blades should help spell-based marksmen who want to lay down a swift chunk have a keystone to promote that playstyle.

Hail of Blades has been seeing more and more play in the Bot-Lane, but why and why only on specific champs? In this article I am going to discuss three primary ADCs who are currently able to abuse and use Hail of Blades to dominate the Bottom Lane.

Hail of Blades - Basic Attacking an enemy Champion Grants 110% Bonus Attack Speed as well as make your Bonus Attack Speed ignore the Attack Speed Cap (2.5) for your next 3 Basic Attacks On-Attack. Attack Resets do not Consume a Stack of Hail of Blades, but do benefit from the Bonus Attack Speed - Hail of Blades lasts 3 seconds, and Consuming a Stack against an enemy Champion Refreshes the Duration to 3 seconds. The Buff stops Refreshing if the Basic Attack Targeting a Champion is Cancelled. (Cooldown - 8 seconds)

Xayah

Now this may come as a surprise to many but Xayah’s kit is perfectly designed for Hail of Blades and early game domination. The Standard Runes on Xayah as it stands are Lethal Tempo (Precision Tree line) followed up by the Sorcery Skill Tree line. Now while there is nothing wrong with these Runes, you may want to consider swapping over or at least giving this new Hail of Blades Rune path a try… especially if you are in a Lower-Elo, since this Rune Path makes you a more independent ADC . Rune Benefits:

Cheap Shot: Cheap Shot gives the user Bonus True Damage whenever they impair or damage someone with impaired Movement, which means you as Xayah get Bonus True Damage whenever you root an enemy; or if anyone on your team CCs an enemy Champion.

Eyeball Collection: Bonus AD (or AP). Xayah is supposed to be a Hypercarry, which means she can use all the Bonus AD possible and Eyeball Collection provides her with that.

Ultimate Hunter: Xayah’s ult is the Main focus of her Kit and is designed to be a great escape tool for an ADC; however, the problem with Xayah’s ult is its Cooldown. Now ult cooldown isn’t that big of a problem for ADCs, however, in the case of Xayah, since her ult is one of the focal points of her kit and so powerful in team-fights, having it on such a low cooldown is extremely useful. Ultimate Hunter is then the prime Rune to take on Xayah as it gives her ultimate an extremely low cooldown. (Instead of running Nimbus Cloak, Ultimate Hunter serves as an escape helper)

Second Tree:

Presence of Mind: Xayah is a Champion that uses a lot of Mana and Presence of Mind is a Rune that can help solve her Mana Issues.

Legend: Bloodline: Lets face it… ADCs are extremely weak compared to other roles, and so in order to win a couple fights, you need Lifesteal… but sometimes (most times), Lifesteal isn’t something that you are supposed to build. Legend: Bloodline is then the perfect Rune for ADCs, as it grants Lifesteal for takedowns, Epic Monster kills, Large Monster kills, and Minion kills. Legend: Bloodline gives 0.6 Lifesteal per stack and allows up to 20 stacks, giving you a total of 12% Lifesteal.

Kai’Sa

Kai’Sa is definitely the most obvious Champion on this list in terms of popularity and using Hail of Blades… because it has basically become her main Rune. However, many people don’t know why this is, so let me tell you why. In Season 10, the main goal of the game is to win early and snowball… this can be done by obtaining Dragons and or by killing the two Rift Heralds; whatever the case is, the name of Season 10 is “Early Game”. Kai’Sa was never an early game Champion, which is why she was left behind in Season 9 by everybody… because people realized that in Season 10, it took Kai’Sa too long to scale and become useful. Hail of Blades is then the solution to Kai’Sa’s early game problem, as it allows her to trade fairly in Lane, since she can stack her passive almost instantaneously with the Attack Speed buff that Hail of Blades offers.

Rune Benefits:

Taste of Blood: Heal when you damage a Champion. Taste of Blood is a great Rune because it puts Lifesteal into her Kit and gives her that extra survivability early game that she so desperately needs.

Eyeball Collection: Bonus AD (or AP). Kai’Sa is supposed to be a Hypercarry, which means she can use all the Bonus AD (or AP) possible and Eyeball Collection provides her with that.

Ravenous Hunter: Heal for a percentage of damage done by your abilities. Another Rune that is perfect for Kai’Sa (especially paired with Taste of Blood), since a lot of her main damage comes from her abilities, namely her Q and W.

Second Tree:

Presence of Mind: Since this Build focuses on Manamune, Kai’Sa needs a lot of Mana, especially since ideally she should be using her abilities whenever possible in order to stack her Tear.

Legend Bloodline: Legend: Bloodline paired with Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter means that Kai’Sa will have amazing Lifesteal built directly into her Kit, which again gives her more survivability both in the early game and in the late game.

Ashe

Now I will admit that this Rune Build is a little different than the other Builds on this list and that’s mainly because this Rune Build forces you to change the items you purchase as Ashe. I will say this though... I have tried both the Lethal Tempo Ashe and the Hail of Blades Ashe, and while both are good and viable, I think Hail of Blades Ashe is the better of the two currently. The reason I say this is because Hail of Blades Ashe allows you to be powerful early game, mid game and finally late game. Since Hail of Blades Ashe is designed to give you ultimate cooldown reduction and chase-down potential, this Ashe is truly the better Ashe.

Rune Benefits

Taste of Blood: Heal when you damage a Champion. Taste of Blood is a great Rune because it puts lifesteal into her kit and gives her that extra survivability early game that she so desperately needs.

Eyeball Collection: Bonus AD (or AP). Now since this Ashe build is a little different than normal Ashe and since you are supposed to go Trinity Force first rather than Blade of the Ruined King, having a little bit of extra AD built into your kit is tremendously useful.

Ultimate Hunter: Ult Cooldown Reduction. As mentioned in the brief overview given, this Ashe is designed to be an ability bot. Meaning you want to get the most of out of your abilities and ult, and in order to do that you need Keystones that will provide you with cooldown reduction, so that you can focus on building items that do damage and not items that solely focus on giving you cooldown reduction. This Rune is also very good on Ashe because her Ult is so powerful and useful for Initiations.

Second Tree

Magical Footwear: The status-quo is to go Nimbus Cloak on ADCs now; however, since this Ashe Build is extremely expensive, the Rune Magical Footwear is your best friend, as it allows you to spend that 300 Gold on something else rather than Boots.

Approach Velocity: Probably the most broken Rune when playing Ashe, since every single one of her abilities slows and or impairs an enemy's movement (besides her E). Now if you don’t know what Approach Velocity does; basically, this Rune gives you an extra 15% Movement Speed toward enemies who have impaired movement. Which means, that as Ashe, you can have 15% Bonus Movement Speed towards any enemy you either ult, auto-attack, or use your W on.

In conclusion, Hail of Blades is a great Rune Path if you wish to do it all as an ADC. I especially advise trying this Rune Path out if you are in a lower elo, since this path is designed to make you less dependent on teammates for both engages and disengages. Overall, these builds are very unique and fun and definitely worth at least one try.

Hail of Blades should help spell-based marksmen who want to lay down a swift chunk have a keystone to promote that playstyle. HAIL OF BLADES : Gain 50-100% (at levels 1-18) attack speed for the first three attacks made against enemy champions.

Which is better, hail of blades or lethal tempo?

if you're looking to snowball in the early game, Haloth Blades might be the right choice for you. lethal tempo, on the other hand, is for long trains, most often taken on scaling carries. Lethal Tempo grants extra attack speed. for each Autotech you do against an enemy champion, stacking up to 6 times.

How to use hail of blades?
