I have been using the Virtual Desktop to play PC VR on my Oculus Quest 2. At first when I tried it, the video lagged a lot but the audio output was going to my headset just fine. So, I bought a new laptop to fit with recommendations for Shadow PC, found a much better spot for my internet connection, and use ethernet cable for my laptop.

Now the video quality works great. However, for some reason, the audio will only output to my laptop -not my headset. Even though the settings with Steam VR says the audio output is to the headset, I can only hear it through my laptop, not my headset.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get the audio from PC VR to my headset and not on the laptop?

You should be using VD directly to your shadow, not to your laptop.

The laptop is just there to be a 2nd connection to your shadow to keep it alive, move the mouse every so often, that kind of thing. If you closed and turned the laptop off, you should still be connected to your shadow for a little while before the inactivity timer kicks you off.

So the issue is with you not getting audio through the VD connection. I would check with VD forums and such. But first I would make sure your headset volume is turned up because sometimes it really is that simple.
