2023 concert tours Europe

Stadium shows confirmed for UK and continental Europe

After completing their triumphant run of six sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay has announced further European and UK stadium shows for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023. The dates include the tour’s first visits to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, alongside UK shows in Manchester and Cardiff, staring in May 2023.

The new tour dates were teased via Easter eggs in the band’s new video for “Humankind,” taken from their No. 1 album, Music Of The Spheres, which premiered last week. To the excitement of the band’s eagle-eyed global following, the video also hinted at further shows being announced for southeast Asia and North America.

Tickets for the new European and UK shows will go on sale at 10 am local time on Thursday, August 25th via Ticketmaster.

Since the band’s record breaking tour began in Costa Rica in March 2022, more than four million tickets have been sold for the dates in Latin America, North America and Europe.

The tour has also been heralded for its groundbreaking set of sustainability initiatives which include a show powered by one hundred percent renewable energy in almost all locations. It features the world’s first tourable battery system which was made from 40 BMW electric car batteries; power bikes and kinetic dance floors allowing fans to help power the show; solar panels and wind turbines at every venue; a pledge to cut tour emissions by fifty percent; incentives to encourage fans to travel by green transport; and one tree planted for every ticket sold.

Update 6/8: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have surpassed one million tickets sold on their just-announced 2023 tour dates in Europe and have added even more new shows across the continent for their return to the road next year.

New shows added in Barcelona, Dublin, Oslo, Gothenburg, Paris, Amsterdam & Hockenheim due to overwhelming demand!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will mark their return to the road in early February, 2023 with a string of to-be-announced US arena dates, followed by European stadium shows kicking off on April 28th in Barcelona and a second North American tour leg starting in August.

Said Springsteen: “After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year. And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

The planned European stops are Barcelona, Dublin, Paris, Ferrara, Rome, Amsterdam, Landgraaf, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Vienna, Munich and Monza. Additional cities and shows in the UK and Belgium will be announced at a later date.

These 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide The River Tour in Australia in February, 2017. The River Tour was named 2016’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band last reconnected to perform on Saturday Night Live in December 2020, where they launched live versions of two songs from their most recent studio album ‘Letter To You’ (Columbia Records), which reached #1 in eleven countries and marked the band’s first time recording live together in decades. Last year, Springsteen unveiled his never-before-released “The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts” film, collaborated with President Barack Obama on the book ‘Renegades: Born In The USA’ and reprised his record setting show ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ to help reopen New York City theaters last summer.

The E Street Band’s members are: Roy Bittan – piano, synthesizer; Nils Lofgren – guitar, vocals; Patti Scialfa – guitar, vocals; Garry Tallent – bass guitar; Stevie Van Zandt – guitar, vocals; and Max Weinberg – drums; with Soozie Tyrell – violin, guitar, vocals; Jake Clemons – saxophone; and Charlie Giordano – keyboards.
