Neutrogena hydro boost hydrating serum reviews năm 2024

Best word to describe Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydrating serum? Meh. As a huge fan of the Hydro Boost moisturizer by Neutrogena, every part of me wanted to love this serum. And sadly, it was just okay.

Since the serum is water based, I really liked that I was able to wear this serum under my makeup without any issue, and that it was super easy to apply and incorporate into both my morning and night skincare routine.

However, I just didn’t experience awesome hydration with it, nor did I find any ‘wow’ component to it. It just felt like an added step that didn’t really provide me with anything to get excited about.

While it definitely wasn’t a negative experience to use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum, there are plenty of other face serums, hydrating or otherwise, that deliver more exciting and impressive results than this serum did.

Detailed Opinion:

Texture/Feel

Neutrogena Hydro Boost face serum has the texture and consistency of most other face serums. However, when I actually applied the face serum to my skin, it had more of a moisturizer feel than a serum. While I wouldn’t ever just wear a serum alone, this face serum almost made it seem like I could skip the moisturizer entirely.

Overall, the consistency of the face serum was super easy to work with and apply, and it was very comfortable on my skin. Even after it had absorbed, it didn’t feel like I had anything on my face—no tacky residue or slick feeling, so I really enjoyed that.

Application

With a pump applicator, I found that I needed to use two pumps of Neutrogena Hydro Boost to fully cover my face and neck area, but I don’t think it’s because you need to use a lot product, I just think the amount it actually pumps out is very small.

To apply Neutrogena Hydro Boost face serum, cleanse and dry your face first, and use both morning and night. Once the serum has absorbed, follow with your moisturizer and any other face products you use. Super simple!

I think since the face serum is water based, I found that it worked really well on my combination skin in the sense that I didn’t have any additional oiliness from using the face serum under my makeup. Major bonus!

Drying Time

I loved how quickly Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum dried! Within 15 seconds or less, the product was completely absorbed into my skin.

And as I said earlier, once it fully dried down, it didn’t feel like I had anything on my face, yet my skin still felt very hydrated and taken care of.

Smell

Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydrating face serum is completely odorless, so that’s definitely a plus for anyone sensitive to certain scents, or anyone who just likes to avoid scents in their products altogether.

Immediate Results

As I do with every new face serum I try, I used Neutrogena Hydro Boost face serum at night first. The first thing I noticed was how moisturized my face felt when applying it, so the actual act of using it definitely delivers on the hydration aspect of it.

Beyond that, I really didn’t see any immediate results. My other skincare products applied the same as they normally do when I incorporated this face serum into my routine, and I didn’t experience any initial skin irritations or blemishes.

Long Term Results

Like I said before, I’m a big fan of Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer and have noticed a huge improvement in my overall skin hydration and plumpness from using that as my daily moisturizer.

However, I just didn’t experience those same awesome results with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydrating face serum. Truthfully, the serum was just okay. I didn’t see any decrease in the appearance of my skin, but I definitely didn’t feel as though it was more hydrated or plump as a result of using the face serum.

Mostly my skin just remained unchanged, which was a bummer since I love the moisturizer so much and would have loved to use two products from the same product line!

Price/Value

In my experience, there is a wide range of hydrating face serums at all different price points. While Neutrogena Hydro Boost face serum may be on the cheaper end of the spectrum at $20, I think there are plenty of other options at similar price points that are much more hydrating than this one.

While I love a lot about this serum, from the way it felt on my skin to how easy it was to wear under my makeup, it simply doesn’t deliver on the hydration and plumping aspects a hydrating serum should have.

I wanted to like it because it does feel like it helps with dryness but I just can't. The second I started using it my face broke out. I've been trying to use it for several weeks now and I'm...

While this might be a good serum I can't stand the scent. Why do companies insist on adding artificial fragrances to skin treatments. I even tried to use it on my feet just so I didn't waste it...
